Yaquis Stadium

The new Yaquis Baseball Stadium expresses the identity of its region through an architectural language that engages with its surroundings. Exposed brick, neutral tones, and transparent elements evoke the atmosphere of Sonora, bringing local character into a contemporary experience.

With a capacity of 16,000 spectators, the stadium was conceived as a gathering place for the community and as a new architectural landmark for the city.

The roof is articulated through nine distinct structures, whose geometry draws inspiration from the eight native tribes that form part of Sonora's cultural roots, together with a ninth structure dedicated to the Yaquis, representing the team's present identity and that of the city itself. An architectural expression that transforms the memory of the territory into a contemporary experience, bringing together history, identity, and sport beneath a single roof.
