Where Culture, Nature, and Luxury Converge
Located on the cliffs of Punta Macao, Dominican Republic, The Ritz-Carlton All-Inclusive Yanuna emerges within a privileged natural setting where wetlands, coastline, and topography converge. The project is conceived as a seamless integration with its environment, transforming the landscape into a central element of the architectural narrative and positioning the destination as both place and experience.
The project redefines the all-inclusive model at a global level, becoming the first of its kind for The Ritz-Carlton. Its objective is to elevate this typology into a luxury-driven, experience-focused destination, where culture, nature, and hospitality align to create long-term value and a differentiated positioning within the international market.
Inspired by Taíno culture, the design translates principles of community, harmony, and respect for nature into contemporary architecture. Circular geometries, organic layouts, and natural materials such as wood and clay establish a strong connection between built form and context. The master plan adapts to the terrain, ensuring minimal impact while maximizing views, spatial fluidity, and integration with the ecosystem.
Yanuna is conceived as an immersive journey. Every space is designed to engage the senses, through textures, light, and landscape, creating a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior. The result is a curated experience where guests don’t just stay, but connect: with the place, its culture, and a new way of understanding luxury hospitality.
