550 Market Street emerges as a new urban intervention in the heart of San Antonio, redefining the connection between Market Street and the River Walk. Positioned within the evolving Hemisfair district, the project introduces a contemporary mixed-use destination that brings together architecture, public space, and experience in a highly activated urban setting.
Designed to strengthen the relationship between downtown and Civic Park, the project prioritizes pedestrian movement and seamless connectivity. Through a network of open spaces—including an art garden and public plaza—the development extends the urban fabric, creating a walkable environment that encourages interaction, accessibility, and cultural engagement.
The proposal integrates over 50,000 square feet of commercial, food, and beverage spaces across two levels, offering a curated mix of retail and dining experiences. Complemented by underground parking for 300 vehicles, the project balances functionality with urban vitality, supporting both daily use and long-term growth within the district.
As part of the broader transformation of Hemisfair, 550 Market Street reflects a forward-thinking approach to city-making—where architecture enhances public life, supports economic activity, and contributes to a more connected and vibrant downtown San Antonio.
